Why does the work in STEAM matter?
It’s diagnosing childhood disease with AI, purifying water for communities that need it, exploring deep space, and getting ahead of wildfires before they spread. Our ADDSTEAM Scholars are already working on problems just like these, and the numbers below are the shape of that work this year.

Staying connected
Our scholars don’t just move through ADDSTEAM — they stay with us. Long after a cohort ends, 93% of scholars keep in touch with our network at least once a year, checking in on new roles, promotions, and the next problem they’re tackling. That steady thread is how we know the work is landing: not just in who we welcome in, but in who keeps showing up.

Career Summit
Most career advancement runs on mentorship. And mentorship runs on who you already know. The ADDSTEAM Career Summit was built for scholars who don’t have that head start: a day tailored specifically to scholars who are routinely left out of the advancement pipeline simply because no one showed them the way in.
